In a move that may help XM extend its lead over Sirius, General Motors announced that it would offer XM Satellite Radio on 44 of 57 models or 75% of its fleet.

"We're thrilled that General Motors, the nation's largest automaker, is equipping the production lines of more than 75 percent of its models to install XM radios," said XM boss Hugh Panero. XM currently has more than 360,000 subscribers.
