Someone with a beef about Ralph Tortoro says (posted 17 March 2003):
" Does Ralph Tortoro know any bands other than 'The Who', 'The
Guess Who', or the' Beatles'? Play some 'Southern Rock', man, or change the
Channel 15 Title to 'Classic WHO'. We don't cotton to child porn perverts
and liberals down here in the Mountain State."
A pundit from Miami who isn't quite as Sirius as he used to be comments:
"I subscribed to Sirius last July. While I generally like the programming, I noted a big change in their oldies lineup about two months ago, the elimination of 1964 to 1969 pop tunes from Channel 5. Now Channel 5 is limited to 1950s to 1963. I-70 covers the 1970s, so now there is a rather large gap, which covers some of the best pop tunes ever made. The only way this change in programming makes sense to me is as a cost-cutting measure--Sirius is often described in the press as a financial basket case. Otherwise, why stop playing these very popular tunes? Personally, if I knew this would happen, I probably would have chosen XM instead of Sirius. "
